The specialized media course carried out by the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency (PICA) for journalists in the republic of Mali has come to an end.

The training course organized by PICA in Mali capital, Bamako, that lasted for three consecutive days, benefiting 50 journalists and media students has ended today.
The Director General of PICA, Imad Al-Zuhairi, described this development program that serves the development goals and enhances south-south cooperation as important and strategic, leading to the enhancement of bilateral relations and elevating the status of the state of Palestine in Africa and mobilizing further international solidarity with Palestine.
The closing ceremony in which trainees were handed over their certificates of participation was organized at the embassy of the State of Palestine in Bamako headquarters, in the presence of Mali deputy minister of foreign affairs, senior officials from the ministry of national education, directors of press institutes, Malian chief of journalists, representatives from the civil society, Mali-Palestine friendship society and a group of Palestine friends in Mali.
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Mali, Hadi Shibli, expressed his happiness with the implementation of this course, which comes within the framework of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Mali in all fields and in accordance with the development plans set by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Chairman of the Board of Directors, HE Dr. Riad Malki, in accordance with the instructions of HE President Mahmoud Abbas that aim at strengthening cooperation and development programs in African countries.
The participants expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to Palestine for organizing this course and highly appreciated the efforts exerted by the Palestinian agency to achieve this important accomplishment. Moreover, they hoped to continue conducting such programs and expand their scope in order to enhance the local human capacities and elevate the level of professional performance.
This unique course is part of a series of activities that PICA is carrying out in Mali, which is a friendly and supportive country towards the Palestinian cause in all international forums. It can also be described as a gratitude and appreciation by the Palestinian leadership to its friends in African countries and in recognition of their firm positions towards the Palestinian cause.
