2019 – PICA Media Program in Mali

Background: In December 2019, Palestinian International Cooperation Agency implemented two workshops in Mali. As a response to the Malian government need for e-governance and social media expertise.
Purpose: This mission aimed at supporting the ongoing efforts of the Malian Government to introduce and enhance the technological functions in the employees’ daily work through specialized capacity development programs.
Outputs: 1. Providing a two-day social media workshop to 44 office managers and social media experts working for the government. 2. Introducing e-governance to 52 general secretaries and Deputy Minister.
Activities: The participants of this workshop were given intense workouts regarding creating Facebook accounts and pages for ministries, writing publications and attaching them with pictures and videos depending on the content and the aimed audience.
Working Framework: Promoting South-South Cooperation, Strengthening bilateral relations between Palestine and Mali.
Beneficiaries: AGETIC- 95 participant (44 social media beneficiaries and 51 e-governance)/ participants are official government employees.
