2021 – PICA Agricultural Program in Mauritania

Background: PICA, in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank and the Ministry of Agriculture, has completed the first phase of the “Transfer of the Palestinian Knowhow in supporting the value chain of vegetable agriculture to Mauritania” program. PICA along with its partners have set up all the details concerning launching the program, designing the material, as well as determining the requirements. As outlined in the program document, the Palestinian side represented by PICA in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture has started the first phase in offering a specific knowledge to more than 20 Mauritanian trainees on strategic planning and located 1.5 Hectares in Rosso area and 0.3 Hectare in Yaghref as model to implement the practical part of the training program. Outputs: 1- Training of 20 trainees on strategic planning. 2- Locating 1.5 Hectares in Rosso and 0.3 Hectare in Yaghref to do the practical part. 3- Determining and reporting bids requirements.
Activities: 1- Launching the strategic planning training. 2- Visiting Rosso abd Yaghref to locate the lands.
