| Background: | A Palestinian medical delegation consisting seven surgeons in the fields of: Orthopedics, Eye Surgery, Pediatrics and Dentist Surgery and 5 specialists in the field of Anesthesia and Nursing, was sent to Cote D’Ivoire to enhance bilateral south-south cooperation. | |
| Purpose: | Transferring the Palestinian medical knowhow to provide treatment to the patients who need specific surgeries in the mentioned medical specializations in the central hospital in Abidjan. | |
| Outputs: | 1. Conducted 25 surgeries to children and adults. 2. Performed 62 medical examinations to different medical cases in the hospital. 3. Provided medical consultations including practical training to the Ivorian doctors during the surgeries. | |
| Activities: | 1. Conducting different visits to hospitals and medical centers in Abidjan to learn more about the health sector. 2. Official meetings with the President of the Senate to discuss future cooperation. 3. Official visit to the University of Cocody to discuss future cooperation opportunities in the education field. 4. Press conference at the closing ceremony of the medical week at the CHU De Cocody. | |
