2017 – PICA Agricultural Program in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Background: The State of Palestine represented by PICA has become an observer member in the Association of Caribbean States. Due to PICA’s responsibility towards enhancing cooperation within the regional country of the association, PICA has designed a program of cooperation to transform knowledge in the field of agriculture to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the form of South-South cooperation and in accordance with the 2030 Agenda.
Purpose: This program aims at strengthening the relations between the State of Palestine and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by transferring knowledge in the agricultural field by conducting a study visit to the rural and agricultural areas to submit a comprehensive report on methods that can be used to improve the sector, as well as designing and implementing greenhouses in the capital.
Outputs: One report on the situation of the agricultural sector in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.
Activities: 5 field trips to agricultural sites by the Palestinian experts studying the area and soil, crops and greenhouses.
Working Framework: Transfer of knowledge in the agricultural sector.
