2017 – PICAs Medical Program in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Background: The State of Palestine represented by PICA has become an observer member in the Association of Caribbean States. Due to PICA’s responsibility towards enhancing cooperation within the regional country of the association, PICA has designed a program of cooperation to transform knowledge in the field of health to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the form of South-South cooperation and in accordance with the 2030 Agenda.
Purpose: This program aims at strengthening the relations between the State of Palestine and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by transferring knowledge in the medical field to the local doctors in the island, and to submit a report on any hospital deficiencies to help in the development of the health sector in the country.
Outputs: 1. A report on the health situation in Kingstown. 2. 7 days of work by 7 Palestinian doctors in the Milton Cato
Activities: Working for 7 days by 7 doctors in Milton Cato Memorial Hospital side by side with local doctors to exchange knowledge and experience.
Working Framework: Transfer of knowledge in the health sector.
