Background: PICA, following the instructions of H.E President Mahmoud Abbas, joined the international rescue efforts to help people affected by the devastating earthquake that hit Southern Turkiye. The Palestinian Rapid Response and Rescue Team headed to Malatya, South-Est Turkey, to participate in the relief and rescue operations in this area. The team consists of 30 members including Civil Defense personnel, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, Ministry of Health and the PBC.    
Purpose: 1. Provide support to the Republic of Turkiye in its rescue efforts following the earthquake.
2. Strengthen bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Turkiye.
3. Convey a message of solidarity from the Palestinian people.
4. Ensure the presence of Palestine among international humanitarian players in the field  
Outputs: 1. Evacuated 10 victims from under the rubble from several sites in Malatya district.
2. Built more than 350 tents in Adiyaman and Malatya for displaced families.
3. Packaging and distributing hundreds of food parcels.
4. Provided psychological support for more than 500 children in displaced accommodation centers.
5. Provided medical treatment for displaced families in accommodation centers.
