SAN SALVADOR – Within a context based on exchanging human resources and knowledge with Latin America, PICA implements the first agricultural development program in El Salvador, using distinguished palestinian expertise.
The agricultural program which was implemented in Nicaragua has been transferred to El Salvador, in order to meet the needs as expressed by the competent authorities in El Salvador. The program aims at improving breeds through artificial insemination techniques, bio-agriculture, rural development, food processing, greenhouse management and pest control.
This mission is part of a series of strategic programs implemented by PICA in Central America, which will contribute to promoting the identity of the State of Palestine internationally and achieving 2030 agenda and its SDGs, within the framework and mechanisms of South-South and triangular cooperation.
El Salvador recognized the State of Palestine in 2011 and signed a diplomatic exchange agreement with Palestine in 2013 . The Embassy of the State of Palestine was opened in San Salvador in 2018.
